Why don't we wait and see further notice on Sanders' health outlook and what his doctor

recommends before we jump to any conclusions?

We ought to know something soon. His doctor might tell him he must stop his campaign and bow out completely or maybe continue but at a milder pace.

It's hard and it's heartbreaking. His wife and family must be deeply worried.

My husband has had heart problems (but avoided stents, thank god) and if it were up to me, I'd have him out of the campaign immediately. I've nursed my husband through recovery from two spinal surgeries and it was worrisome enough. I would be freaked out...completely...

Joe Biden

If he's like most stent recipients, he will be in better health now than he has been. He now has an artery that is not clogged.

That's why I qualified it by saying if he is like most stent recipients. I know many who have lived decades with them.

That being said, every case is unique and nothing is 100% in the medical world. Just trying to be optimistic, that's all.

The difference is huge. So is the damage to the heart under an ongoing heart attack.

The type of heart attack I’m referencing is very common among women. It still happens with men. It’s that damage that requires an immediate lifestyle change. That said, both of us are deploying speculation.

... unless you think the presidency is less stressful than campaigning. Otherwise we can expect that his doctor would tell him to continue being president but at a milder place.

Bernie does not to need to resume the 16 hour workdays , the 4 hour nights of sleep , the bad food and the endless stress involved with conducting a Presidential Campaign ……. He is a 78 year old man who is not temperamentally capable of running a "part-time' campaign …….. He has postponed his Iowa TV ad buy because withdrawal from the campaign is under active consideration..... This has nothing to do with "saving his dignity" but rather saving his life

My husband was able to avoid stents but he had some heart issues in his early 70s. I've always had a pretty strong heart but pretty bad bp until I got it treated properly. That's just speaking for us. His case might be totally different.

I think I just said let's wait and see.

And it could even be heartbreaking if he has to bow out. It does make me think of how anxiety provoking it would be for a lot more of us if he were president. It has me wondering about the wisdom of taking a relatively heightened risk when it comes to age and health.

this isn't good when you consider his age and his demeanor (extremely passionate and easily irritated). I am not saying this to knock Bernie, just saying that when you're easily irritated and dealing with heart issues, you have to cut every stressful activity out, cold turkey.

For example, one large study published in Circulation in 2000 found that among 12,986 middle-aged African-American and white men and women, those who rated high in traits such as anger -- but had normal blood pressure -- were more prone to coronary artery disease (CAD) or heart attack. In fact, the angriest people faced roughly twice the risk of CAD and almost three times the risk of heart attack compared to subjects with the lowest levels of anger.

I mean this very respectfully with respect to your op.

It would defy the purpose of a discussion board to not discuss why they are canceling over a million dollars of ad buys. That is just one example. These things are worthy of discussion as the story unfolds.
