It's as you say. If Biden was lagging and O'Rourke looking like our best chance, the polls would switch big time.

(34,184 posts)The El Paso shooting was on August 3 and he came out more strongly for gun control and gun confiscation. He started swearing in front of reporters to show how serious he is.
Nationally he peaked thereafter on August 19 at 3.5% and has slumped ever since.
He's currently hovering around 3.2%.
His movement is weak.
He piqued the national interest after he announced. His high was 9.5% in April 2019.
