On the issue of health care, I think a Medicare OPT-IN is the farthest we can get at this time. (Original Post) RandySF Sep 2019 OP

Is that OPT-IN?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

There is a difference from what we believe is the best path forward versus the best VIABLE path forward.

Even the buy-in would be a tough sell but here is how I would package it. Eligibility for all Americans to belong to Medicare with an increased cost share. It does not have to be sold as a competitor to insurance (even though it would be).

The primary argument for this would be a transition tool to retirement. There are stories all the time of people who could financially retire with the exception of health insurance. This is especially true among couples of different ages where one qualifies for MC while the other doesn't. This would allow them to both retire at the same time with a rational understanding of the health cost implications.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
