Unless Harris (or Buttigieg) can pull off a big showing at the next debate, we'll be down to three. I can even see a path to being a final two if Sanders severely flubs it. At this point I'm keeping my allegiance to Harris, but I expect I'll be changing to my second choice (Warren) soon.

is the respect and goodwill (so far) amongst most of the campaigns, particularly Buttigieg-Harris-Warren. When Wes Clark dropped out in 2004, I felt like there was a death in the family. The Deaniacs felt something similar when the good Doctor left. 2008 & 2016 were bitter contests with very hard feelings on all sides - In 2008 PUMAs left, and many did not come back. I won't go into 2016.

I was one of those Deaniacs you mentioned, having worked on the local ad hoc campaign in 2003 (he didn't have an official campaign presence here, so people met online using MeetUp and we started our own group for him). When he screeched out that yell in Iowa, and the media excoriated him for his passion, I was pretty devastated. I voted for Kerry with no reservations in the general, but without passion, as well.

As for 2016, I think my biggest regret from that campaign (other than the obvious **** stain of the general election results) is that so many people on either side of the primary fight cannot seem to find a way to this day to forgive those who voted for the other person.

Thankfully I don't see the same rancor this time around. Sure, there are a few hard feelings, especially surrounding certain debate moments, but I don't think I've seen anything that won't be forgiven and quickly forgotten once the primaries are done. And I'm positive that the vast majority of us will excitedly campaign for the eventual nominee, regardless of who that is or how our preferred candidate fared.

I will clarify. There are a bunch of folks who previously voted for Bernie in 2016 have now moved onto someone else. Perhaps they could move back but that seems unlikely. I think he peaked in 2016 and now its just his diehards that remain.

President Donald Trump trailed the two top Democratic rivals and was tied with two others in hypothetical matchups in Wisconsin, according to Wednesday's Marquette University Law School Poll.

"We're only in the second inning," poll director Charles Franklin cautioned.

He added: "These numbers are movable things on where we stand today but not predictions of the final outcome."
