Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!

I have no idea who Kathy Tillman is, other than that she's a Biden supporter and her tweet popped up when I was searching Twitter for mentions of Biden.
She's replying there to someone who likes this DailyKos post, which I also like:

Let mestart by saying, Joe Biden isnt even in my top three choices of Democratic candidates for president. With that out of the way, heres why I think its becoming more certain he will be our nominee.
Witness Bidens response to Donald Trumps unhinged handling of Chinas retaliation against his trade war.
-snip-
When Biden says, "I think it's only going to make him more erratic, he knows this is whats troubling the American voterand hes offering them a stark choice. Four more year of chaos, lies, corruption, lawlessness, or the experience of eight years as vice president in a successful administration.
We all know Biden is right here. Trump will become more unhinged. Trump wont wake up one day with an epiphany that he needs to change his behavior. He will get much worse, and the worse he gets, the better the chances Biden wins the nomination and presidency.
I know Biden has a propensity for gaffes. I dont think this will matter to voters, as witnessed by his continued frontrunner status in the polls. I also know Biden isnt the change some on the left want, but to many Democratic voters, he represents a time of stability, experience, and a time there wasnt daily drama in the White House. We should not ignore or downplay that voters could believe a steady hand may very well be needed to repair the massive damage Trump leaves us.
-snip-
I understand and respect the argument from some that a Biden nomination will depress turnout. My reply to that is this: If any voterand that Is any demographic or age group of votercant get excited enough to remove Trump, then we are in a worse place in our politics then I could have ever imagined.

(36,478 posts)1. I have never understood people who need to be motivated to vote.
WTF? You vote! You pick the candidate that most closely reflects your views & you fucking vote! Even if you have to hold your nose, you vote. Even if it's a vote against someone else, you vote.
I was at a party before the midterms & overheard a young woman say, "If voting made a difference they wouldn't let you vote." I said, "If you were living 100 years ago, you wouldn't be able to vote because you're a woman."
YOUR VOTE = YOUR VOICE
