Only three "media" outlets reported on it - NY Post, Daily Wire, and TheBlaze, and only two tweets from right wingers Charlie Kirk and Ryan Saavedra (from Daily Wire)

But Biden didn't bite, after he said "at least three" he added "don't play games with me kid!"

That this is now being made an "issue" on DU is disappointing, to say the least.

...Biden seems a bit overconfident in these exchanges.

Of course, it was a setup question (saw one account where she was identified as 'conservative'). Maybe a more reflective, thoughtful approach would suit better in these ambush situations. Off the cuff doesn't seem to be working for Joe like it did with that right-wing reporter.

...it's an internet trifle.

People tend to judge good guys like Joe, more severely than they do bad actors like Trump. It's because we expect the bad guys to be bad guys, stupid people to do and say stupid things. But when a good, smart person says something amiss, people react like they stabbed someone in the eye. It's a challenge.

I'm reminded (as I think should others), that times change and sometimes quickly, but it takes a while for everyone to catch up--no matter how well-intentioned they might be.

I can recall my own Mother (raised in a very tiny rural farm town and thus isolating environment) first experiencing someone who was transgendered. As kind and tolerant a woman as you can imagine, it still took her time to process. My sister and I might have been a bit amused at the episode, but would never have been unkind enough to mock her earnest attempt to understand.

And, I don't just say this with respect to the two oldest candidates.

I dunno, either way that's a tough question for anyone to answer. Mostly because there doesn't seem to be any consensus. In this case it's a bullshit question to begin with, and someone will always disagree with any response. They were just trying to bait him, obviously. He of course knew that based on his other response about not messing with him. I am assuming their goal was to get him to anything, and then let the internet rage take it from there.
