where the front-runner has a better than 50-50 chance of becoming the nominee.

It isn't inevitable, of course. But that's the way it works out more often than not.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

people running.

Had they limited the first debates to the top several candidates, there would have been screaming about the times the eventual nominee had been doing very badly in polls at this point.

FWIW, I believe what's most important is that Biden has MAINTAINED his front-runner status since January, when RCP started keeping track of the polls.

That's in spite of the fact that he wasn't even officially in the race until late April.

In spite of the fact that he's had to deal with a barrage of criticism from the Trump campaign, Democratic rivals and their supporters, and those in the media who want another candidate to be the nominee and haven't been at all objective in how they're covering the race.

I saw more of the usual kvetching on Twitter in recent days about how Biden still isn't above 50% in thee polls (except when people are asked about electability, when he's sometimes over 50%).

Jesus. He has two dozen rivals vying for support.

I don't think there's any possible candidate who'd be doing better than Biden at this point, with so many rivals.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Seemed to have no effect on how the candidates did. I.E. their total, male and female %s were all pretty much the same.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
