Sanders, Warren top second-quarter fundraising among Democrats in Oklahoma

U.S. Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren collected the most money in Oklahoma of the Democratic presidential candidates in the second quarter, while President Donald Trump easily outpaced his potential rivals, according to Federal Election Commission reports.

Sanders, of Vermont, who won Oklahoma’s Democratic primary in 2016, raised $22,543 from April 1 through June 30, bringing his total for the year in Oklahoma to $34,297.

Sanders’ campaign has been organizing in Oklahoma for the March 3 primary, holding volunteer meetings in Oklahoma City and Tulsa in recent weeks. Sanders has reported over 700 donations on Oklahoma, ranging from $1 to $2,500.

Warren, of Massachusetts, raised $21,968 in the second quarter, bringing her total in the state to $26,107. Warren is an Oklahoma native who graduated from high school in Oklahoma City. Warren has reported 352 contributions in Oklahoma, ranging from $3 to $2,800.
