I guess she has moved passed the Al Franken issue.

Seriously though, Massachusetts is not quite as blue a state as people might think. They elected Mitt Romney and Bill Weld as Governor and Scot Brown Senator. Hence the dichotomy of Warren having both high favorable and unfavorable numbers.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Angus and Bernie are the most popular. Go figure. Other than that, not too much to see here really. I just checked and Warren is doing pretty well on approval, but has a high disapproval and that's what puts her in the bottom five. The rest are all in the middle. To be honest there's not a lot of variation. McConnell ranks last and that seems richly deserved!

....for a white man to be "popular" in a tiny state that's 95% white. Look at the top five - ALL from virtually all-white small states. In the top ten only two aren't from small virtually all white states - Klobuchar and Markey.

On the other hand, let's look at the net popularity of the top five:

King +34
Sanders +30
Leahy +37

Hoeven +35
Barrasso +31

Sanders isn't even #1 in Vermont!!!

He mainly has himself to blame, as he foolishly and falsely self-labels as a democratic socialist when he IS NOT one. This stubborn and wilful folly is going to be used by the Rethugs to falsely broad-brush all our Democratic candidates as socialists, which, in the reactionary, dumbed-down US, often equates to 'commies!' for a huge mouth-breathing, slack-jawed chunk of the electorate.

by govtrackus.com quite low in general influence and legislative effectiveness. The inverse correlation with this poll seems to suggest that's just what those who voted for them wanted. Takes all kinds.

This is a great site for a survey evaluation of congress overall, including of ex- members, and contains "score cards" for each legislator for years 2013-2018.
