Steyer: We're in an emergency, that's why I'm running.

If you have time, watch and listen to Tom Steyer. He would blow Trump away in any debate.

Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer, the latest addition to the 2020 campaign trail, speaks with CNN's Anderson Cooper.

. . . For President is yet another billionaire businessman with no previous government experience.

Activist? Absolutely, yes. Senator? Cabinet officer? Appointed to a commission or task force? Probably,
But NOT PRESIDENt,

Precisely BECAUSE this is an emergency, This is not the time for amateur hour.

I think a debate about just how democratic the American government should be (he wants more direct democracy) would be a good civic exercise (hint: there are downsides as well as upsides).

need to destroy our new billionaire classes.

Our candidates for the enormous power of government should not be products solely of their own shameless ambition (the presidency!), their inflated egos and and their huge fortunes that enable them to hire as many professionals as needed to manipulate them into office. We need those who offer themselves to the electorate to already have records of proven good character and requisite experience and abilities and to already be the choice of a large number of people who've come to know them and believe in them.

"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." ~ Nancy Pelosi's address to the nation on the opening of the 116th congress.

about the issues, however, Congress (or the States) would need to make a constitutional amendment for this to happen. I don't think that is possible as they are all bought. Bummer.
That being said, I don't want this guy as President.
