Gillibrand: 0 New York endorsements

From Nate Silver:
As you can see on FiveThirtyEight’s 2020 endorsement tracker, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is not doing well in attracting public support from other politicians. No Democratic official has supported her presidential campaign, and perhaps most tellingly that includes New York politicians. Other candidates have already shored up support from home-state colleagues, but Gillibrand is the only senator running for president who hasn’t picked one up

Rightly or not she became the face of the effort to push Franken out without a hearing or investigation. Franken was respected and loved and many Dems like me felt that he had been targeted with trumped up and exaggerated charges. Dem primary voters are typically more liberal than the party as a whole and are not likely to give her a pass on Franken. She also pissed off some big $$$ donors with her Franken move and had to go begging to Wall Street for donations. I don't think she would have done well in the 2020 primary even without the Franken baggage but it certainly isn't helping.

It is very telling that not a single Democratic official is supporting her. AND I haven't heard any attacks from the right, so that's not very reassuring.

I've seen a few vocal NY supporters pop up in my twitter feed but they're rare. She built the most liberal voting record in the Senate no doubt in preparation for her 2020 run. She morphed from a centrist to the most liberal Senator and even that hasn't generated any excitement about her campaign.

was too extreme and too obvious for most people I'd think. It feels like everything she does is a political calculation at a time when voters want authenticity and inspiration. It would seem that Democrats can see right through her.
