A comment on PBS by Judy Woodruff, referring to Biden post debate poll

"the race is back to be fluid."

And I was thinking - why not? There are still 8 months to Iowa Caucus; 9 months to Super Tuesday. Why should we have a "presumed nominee" so early in the game?

Yes, I know. The idea is to save money and energy, not to provide ammunition to the Republicans but if we want as many Democrats and Independents, and Republicans, too, to vote next November, we cannot declare an early conclusion.

Just my opinion..

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

We must choose the best candidate to not only defeat the creature, but to lead the country on the right path. To rewind ll the damage caused by this administration.

which, as you said, is to be expected, given the fact that the nominating convention is a year away, that most voters have only recently begun to pay attention, and that there are so many candidates.

And I think that this is healthy. (What would be for sure unhealthy, and what would guarantee a loss in the general election, is to have the nominee predetermined before there is a single debate or single primary vote cast). So the uncertainty is a good thing as long as the candidates can refrain from personal attacks, focus on honest (and hopefully constructive) debates about policies, and and as long as the candidates and the Democratic voters will FULLY and wholeheartedly support the Democratic nominee, whoever that turns out to be. (That said, I fervently hope that at least 1/2 -2/3 of the current candidates will drop out by September. We should have no more than 8 candidates for the fall debates. And in fact I'd be even happier if we could pare it down to 5 or 6 before the Iowa caucuses).

This is a great field of candidates touring the country and delivering our message. They are building excitement and strengthening our brand.

The media is a problem. Most of the dust-ups have been minor. Specially so when you consider the size of the field. The Democrats starting a national conversation about how segregated society is are given more negative and intense scrutiny than an extremely believable rape allegation against the President.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
