Stop Calling Him 'Uncle Joe'

Like 'Uncle Tom', which is a derogatory epithet for an exceedingly subservient African-American to a white person, 'Uncle Joe' is a derogatory epithet used by white nationalists and conservatives to refer to Joe Biden as subservient to African-Americans. It has been seen used multiple times by conservatives throughout Obama's presidency. It's even used by the fake campaign website Republicans created for Joe Biden that opens with this line:

Uncle Joe is back and ready to take a hands-on approach to America’s problems!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Just because Uncle Tom was a derogatory term does not mean anytime you call somebody uncle-something it has some secret racial meaning.

It's always been meant as a term of affection for Joe Biden. You can argue that we should stop using it for various reasons, ad maybe we should, but please don't tip your hat to some sick, right-wing racist construct.
