RollingStone "Marianne Williamson Is the Cosmic Sorceress We Need Now"

The second Democratic primary debate has come and gone and, unlike the first round, it was not a split-decision. There was a clear winner on Thursday night and I think we can all agree who it was: Marianne Williamson. It wasn’t just you or me who fell under the spell of the witchy moon-dancing, conventional-medicine-doubting, psychic warrior, and Avatar superfan. Williamson was the most Googled candidate during Thursday’s debates — more Googled even than Kamala Harris.

For those who were not familiar with Ms. Williamson before last night, here’s what you need to know: she has the accent of 1940s silver screen starlet, loathes plans, and has made a career “harnessing the inspiration, and the motivation and the excitement of people — masses of people.” (You know what you need to win elections? Masses of excited, motivated, inspired people.)

There is a peacock in every thorn

and in every Donald Trump there is a beautiful angel waiting to get out - we just have to be gentle and patient

Income inequality in America isn't just unethical or immoral; it is unsustainable. Anyone who has read Yertle the Turtle already knows this.

Cosmic Sorceress? Really? How much woo is that?

Okay, I have to assume you've read the whole article and that it is actually supportive of her campaign. Thanks for your contribution.

as is Marianne Williamson's candidacy. She will be a humorous footnote in the history of the 2020 election.

Someone who has no experience in politics and whose only qualifications are wealth and whiteness? Who uses Putin attack lines in debates? Who is anti-vax and anti-science, and who has made a business of a con scheme of thinking your fat away spiritually?

No, we do not need her, and she should never have been on that debate stage.

...all the usual useful idiots would start screaming "RATF**KING!!" and idolize her to the point that when she doesn't get the nom they'll do everything they can to toss the election to the Republicans.

...again.

When she talked about healthcare and that related to pollution, diet and other stuff I forgot about. I was impressed that she could see that a systemic approach is needed. Then I Googled her, and found out what a whack job she is. She needs to smoke a bowl with Melania.

I like her, she is smart as a tack. Saw her on one of the Sunday shows and she went through our pressing issues quite astutely, from causes to potential solutions.

Thom Hartmann is brilliant and he thinks it is unlikely she can get the nod but if she did he would be all n for her. That is where I am.
