Harder tonight than last night to rank the debaters

I put Harris on top, but after that it gets hard.

I don't think tonight was enough to stop any of them, but I think those who will be wasting time going forward too much longer are Williamson, Bennett, Yang, Swalwell, Hickenlooper and Gillibrand.

Buttigieg, Sanders, and Biden stayed about where they were.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

I will add Biden to those that need to go away. I think he was exposed tonight a few times, and his support to the NRA floored me, I could not believe what I was hearing.

This is the kind of stuff Biden says that gets him in trouble, and he will say many more between now and voting time. He really needs to go away, he is dreaming that he can negotiate with republicans, and Bennett exposed his lie, that was a terrible deal for Democrats, a great deal for Republicans, that is why "Mitch" worked with him.

I like Biden. I really do, but a good oppo shop will find hours of material - a fair bit completely out of context - for use in 30 second ads.

He will probably still be one of the last two standing, but he's carried a lot by being President Obama's VP, and the folksy blue collar white guy persona. His decision making and perception of the current state of our nation are questionable at best. Lots of nostalgia for a better time that didn't really exist. He was a good VP as Obama's lovable wingman, but he has serious problems with doubling down on terrible things he has said and supported in the past. He's the exact opposite of what we need as a post Trump POTUS.

name recognition or support to hang in there indefinitely. I didn't think Bernie did very well; in fact, I pretty much forgot about him after it was over. Yang seemed completely out of his depth, Gillibrand didn't stand out at all even though she tried to interrupt much too often, Hickenlooper didn't offer anything memorable, and Williamson was just weird.

primary today, I would vote for:

He is strong at standing up for . . . . . Bernie. I think he could cause a lot of voters we need to just stay away.

They had their day in the sun. It's about time for them to move on. I'd be surprised if any of them got any uptick in the polls or in donations from tonight's performance.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
