After tonight's debate, how quickly should the 1% folks (or maybe 5%) make an early exit?

The talking heads suggest Beto (who has been my choice to date) had a poor night last night. While LOTS can change this early - most folks agree there are too many candidates in the pool to allow voters to really differentiate. Too many voices, not enough bandwidth to hear their individual messages.

The debate on what DEMS can do for our country, and a unified message against the criminal tyrant tRump will be heard more clearly when we can fit all the candidates running into one debate and on one stage.

How soon do you think poorly polling candidates should drop out (including my choice)?

No matter who our nominee is, I will 100% be supporting and voting for him or her!

primary today, I would vote for:

Failing to ignite will thin the group. Not sure if it's fair but it has to happen.

But at some point the top 8 or 10 contenders should be getting more debate time so that undecideds (and potential switchers) are better able to make an informed decision.

They'll need to poll 2% and have 130,000 contributors. That should knock out at least half.

I'd expect the lower ranking players to start dropping out and look for other options in 2020. There will still be time to get a House or Senate run up to speed and I'd love to see more competition for the 20 or so Repubs defending seats next year. Taking the Senate is kind of an important goal we should seek. Also, I'm sure there are some state level jobs that should be winnable for a credentialed Democrat.

1 million Texans voted for the first time in 2018,

Voter turnout in Texas for the mid-terms was almost as high as 2016.

400K Republicans and Independents who voted for Greg Abbott in Texas voted for Beto over Cruz.

I'd like him to stay in through Super Tuesday.

When no one is contributing to them they have no choice but to drop out. As long as they can pay their bills they will stay in.
