Cortez Masto to presidential candidates: "You have to show up" in Nevada

In a conference call with reporters Monday, Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto had one pressing piece of advice for Democratic presidential candidates: “You have to show up and early on.”

“What I know of our community, if you get in there early and you talk about the issues that matter to them then, they are more willing… to go into that booth and vote for you.”

Cortez Masto, the chair of the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee, said she would not be endorsing any of the candidates before the Nevada caucus in February.

“I think it’s important for these presidentials to come out and engage our community,” Cortez Masto said. “I think it’s important for that process to play out.”
