(1,810 posts)I have heard her speak on the trail a couple of times and really like what she has to say. No, she isn't even on my radar for a vote. But she is speaking to a group that historically stays away from the polls. She even tells them that when she speaks. Tells them they can't wait. They have to take part and vote.

(12,165 posts)She is passionate about getting more people to vote. She links the vote to a higher purpose that isn't spiritual at all.
It's a message that more candidates should do a better job articulating.

(12,165 posts)I don't think she has a snowball's chance of winning, and her opinion about vaccinations is troubling, but she is good about talking about women's rights. She was impressive at the Planned Parenthood forum in South Carolina.
That was the first time I had seen her speak as a candidate. She spoke about the greater project of women's liberation with abortion rights as a battle in the war that women have been fighting for most of recorded history. It was inspirational (which makes sense as she earns a living inspiring people).
For tonight's debate, it will be a positive thing if she gets asked a question about women's rights and sets the tone for the discussion around the question.
