Will VP Biden have to do a "Rev Wright"

news conference and explain why being called son by an older and powerful Democratic senator who held all the keys was dismissive and demeaning.. in response to being called tone deaf and a racist ..??

will he have to have a beer summit in the pizza shop to explain why he had to learn how to work with those he disagreed with to get his legislation through??

Will he be forced to have doctors come forward to explain that he has not lost his ability to reason even with his advanced age..

Lord have mercy.. what next

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

believed in the status quo (segregation) at the time. Many were good friends of mime and we'd do favors for each other many times. All of them were democrats (funny isn't it), but they always spoke despairingly about the black people. In those days you just kept your thoughts to yourself about segregation. I had a neighbor who was born in the south and was not a segregationist. He told me often to keep my thoughts to myself about segregation. I came from California at the time and made some good friends, but I kept my mouth shut during the time that I was there. I did have friends there and they have softened their view about the past. Mainly because of their kids and grand kids.

Meant to reply earlier but I had to take a little excursion to the VA emergency room. Turned out okay so here I am back on the gossip box.
I was born in the south , and after a lot of stops up until the 9th grade we moved back and I'm still here. My experience was a little different, but I know exactly where you're coming from. Even though it's a slow change the south is changing. The main thing is, it's changing for the better. Still a lot to do, and we won't get there in my lifetime, but I have pretty high hopes for my grandchildren.

are at war and the country is being destroyed by it. We have a dysfunctional government.

The 2004, 2008, and 2016 primaries were all bloodbaths here.

I hope, in our effort to rid ourselves of America’s greatest threat since the Civil War (Trump), that we stay more civil and united. So far, it’s not too bad here....yet.

1. About Biden saying that he didn't have a racist bone in his body, West said "EVERYBODY has racism inside".
2. He kept referring to Biden as "Brother Biden".

Now, as a top surrogate for the campaign representing BS, shouldn't either he or BS apologize to Biden? It'll never happen.

kill busing (part of the desegregation effort of the civic rights movement). In 1977 he wrote a letter to Senator James Eastland , who often referred to black people as an "inferior race", thanking him for supporting his anti-bussing legislation.

Senator Jesse Helms, welcomed him to the ranks of the enlightened. Helms btw opposed busing, the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. He called the Civil Rights Act of 1964 "the single most dangerous piece of legislation ever introduced in the Congress", and sponsored legislation to either extend it to the entire country or scrap it altogether. In 1982, he voted against the extension of the Voting Rights. He tried, with a 16-day filibuster, to stop the Senate from approving a federal holiday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,

So i am not sure why he is bringing up his ability to work guys like that on legislation of that nature.
