Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumOh, what the hell-- I'll choose a candidate...
for now, anyway.
I am extremely impressed with Harris, Warren, and Mayor Pete (always get the spelling of his last name wrong). They have the wisdom, gravitas and character to be great leaders into the future of a changing planet. (or at least I think they do-- you never really know until the crunch is on)
Biden is comforting. He brings stability back to the mess Trump has created. Whether or not he can do more is a question. I would think of him as a healer and caretaker.
The rest would be a vast improvement over Trump, but that's not really saying much.
So, I'm pulling for Klobuchar. She isn't particularly charismatic or overwhelming in any particular area, but I see her having the best qualities of the four above. Plus she has not only "Minnesota Nice" but she seems to work it with an attitude of not putting up with any nonsense or bullshit. Ever.
Mayor Pete definitely has a future, maybe in the state house or Senate. Warren, I suspect, is more useful in the Senate; or a cabinet position may be waiting for her. Same with Harris-- imagine her as AG.

(30,745 posts)People in this country need to stop overlooking our talented Midwestern Democrats. We have her, and Mayor Pete. In my state, we have Durbin, Duckworth, Cheri Bustos, Jan Shakowsky and several freshman Congresspeople who are going places. We have a great new governor.
Anyway, I would gladly vote for Klobuchar.
