So with all the bashing of Joe why are his numbers still so high with POCs?

MSNBC’s effort to create a horse race by bashing Joe is having minimal success. It’s very telling that the POC guests on all the MSNBC shows are all anti Joe(K. Jean Pierre et al) -it doesn’t reflect their efforts in the polling so far. MSNBC helped Trump win last time. Does anyone really think they don’t want him to win again? It’s all about money and ratings folks. They are not our friends like the Faux News are the friends of Trump. Too bad we don’t have our own network.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I'm black. I don't see what the problem is with him. We have a huge field - I have serious dislike for 3, 1 I think is a heartfelt non starter, and 3 blah. Biden isn't one of those people.

In mainstream coverage, there is not much negative about Biden. I think the question will be what happens once we get into debate season. Until then, I think people's opinions about him are largely the result of things like name recognition, his association with Obama, and memories of Biden's past years. Probably relatively few have seen or heard him lately.

That could change. But for me, the way one democratic candidate takes down another matters. In 6 months, ask Bernie how his brutal attacks on Hillary Clinton worked out. You can also ask Gillibrand how the Al Franken thing worked out for her campaign.

This is very nice to see https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/06/20/why-joe-biden-is-so-defensive-over-his-remarks-about-segregationists/?utm_term=.ab8bb7949ad8

Biden has powerful Democratic backers on this: The highest-ranking African American member of Congress, House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.), told reporters Wednesday he understands where Biden is coming from and that he, too, worked with people such as Strom Thurmond. Other black Democrats in Congress tried to frame Biden’s words in charitable ways.

“I think the sentiment is something that we all know in the legislative body — that you work with people you don’t agree with,” Rep. Cedric L. Richmond (D-La.), a co-chairman of Biden’s campaign, said.

The Clyburn comment in particular is helpful to Biden. If there’s one friend in Congress you want to make as a Democratic presidential candidate, it’s probably Clyburn. He rules South Carolina Democratic politics, and South Carolina is the first early voting state with a majority black Democratic primary voters. Biden and his opponents will be campaigning in South Carolina this weekend at Clyburn’s famous fish fry.

with Hillary.

Putting up with people like that is something you have to do to be civil and thought presentable as a major leader - without spitting on them or the like. Seeing what they do have to offer - anyone could have useful knowledge, even warmongers. Or they may be in the Senate from another state and what can you do about it? Are Senators supposed to refuse to talk to those they don't agree with? What good would that do? In fact, it seems they expect Biden to have acted like Trump - and back then in the earlier Senate, too!
