Candidate John Delaney gets booed for trashing Medicaire For All

The former Maryland congressman was giving a speech on the importance of “smart policies” when he zeroed in on health care.

“Medicare for All may sound good, but it’s actually not good policy nor is it good politics,” Delaney said, to which the crowd immediately responded with loud boos.

“I’m telling ya. I’m telling ya,” Delaney tried to say over the booing while wagging his finger at the audience. “We should have universal health care, but it shouldn’t be a kind of health care that kicks 115 million Americans off their health care.”

Pretty sure calling Medicaire For All 'socialism' is a disqualifier for me. Thank you for spreading right-wing taliking points.

*Warning* The Hill is linked in the article and I avoid them as right-wing propaganda.

3. I agree. Put in a public option and just do a better job than private plans.

Over time individuals and companies will switch to the public plan as private insurers will be left to offer complimentary plans.

is sort of like saying the govt. is going to take away your car while ignoring the fact that they're giving you a new one.

a good one. Our priority should first be on getting health care to the people who still don't have it.

Health care for all.

"We should have universal healthcare," Delaney exclaimed four times in a row in an attempt to reclaim the support of those in attendance."

Those booing weren't actually interested in what he had to say, they were there to support another candidate, and trash him.

after I paid into it for decades. I don't wish it for all. I don't wish it on my enemies. Well, maybe 🍊,🐢 and gangs but that's it. Don't know/care much about this Delaney, but when Dems embrace empty slogans like Trumpies, I get really scared.

I’m on it and they never deny me treatment and co-pays on doc visits and prescriptions are very low or non-existent. I realize the likelihood of passing such legislation is nil but a guy can dream.
