Sadly, I couldn't even afford to stand on the sidewalk near the venue. But it sure sounds like a lot of fun to rub elbows with the rich and famous and powerful and influential.

The premium tickets usually get invited to a private reception BEFORE the main event; that means when the candidate is ready to talk to the crowd, the best locations near the podium are already taken by regular attendees.
