Martin O'Malley announces 3-day Iowa swing.

Former Maryland governor and presidential hopeful Martin O'Malley will begin a three-day Iowa trip on Thursday, beginning at a meeting with The Des Moines Register's editorial board.

It will be the Democratic candidate's 16th visit to the state since he announced his candidacy in May. He'll also speak at a dinner in Omaha on Thursday.

THURSDAY

Des Moines: 1 p.m., Des Moines Register editorial board meeting, 400 Locust St.

Omaha: 6 p.m., Nebraska Democratic Party's Omaha Metro's Finest Dinner, 1111 Jones St.

FRIDAY

Sioux City: 9 a.m., coffee and donuts reception at Morningside College's UPS Auditorium, 1501 Morningside Ave.; 10 a.m., Sioux City Journal editorial board.

Denison: 2:30 p.m., Crawford County meet-and-greet at UFCW Local 440, 46 N. Main St.

Des Moines: 7 p.m., keynote address at Iowa Safe School Spirit Awards, State Historical Building of Iowa, 600 E. Locust St.

SATURDAY

West Des Moines: 10:15 a.m., meet-and-greet at Inspired Grounds Cafe, 117 Fifth St.
