I believe we have all been told on this site that "it's not enough, Bernie" no matter what he does, that poc will never vote for him? And that, btw, was coming from those who DO speak for poc, at least according to them.

I was pleasantly surprised on watching the video of Bernie and Jane on the Mornin Joe show, at how deferentially and warmly they were treated. Could it be because Bernie has announced he has campaign money to spend on advertising?

forgotten who the Clintons ran that campaign in '08 when it was clear that they were losing. The only reason that Clinton's number with black voters are so high is due to name recognition.

If it hadn't been for that foolishness in the wake of those protesters disrupting his speech and the DNC's concerted effort to hide the debates, his numbers with black primary voters would be much higher.

She's a pandering, opportunistic, triangulating third-way shape shifter and a puppet of the big banks and insurance companies. She may have been otherwise in her younger years but that's all she is now.

Quee... I mean female president. The DLC is making sure of that, and we have to follow behind for the Queen's ordination. I mean the election and inauguration. Sorry about that, some things just slip out.

That has become clear.

Sign me up for the Elizabeth Warren for President committee. There's your first female President...because if we nominate Hillary, she will run the same stupid campaign of pandering and triangulation and get trounced by Marco Rubio.

YES, the needs to be a pull back and recognition that some of the Bernie supporters have used racial insults and misogynistic insults. The fact that the other side also has done it doesn't relieve the need to take responsibility of our actions.

It does remind me of how h during the Super Tuesday 2008, started to throw any stone in the bag at Obama trying to win. We Bernie supporters have done that as well. It is pretty vile. Both examples show how just under the surface "distaste for otherness" lies in all of us.

As a Latina, who passes for White, I see a lot of nice people say shit when they feel they are on the losing end of some argument. It is easy to pluck terms that are anti-majority and hurl it without even realizing it. They don't think they have an issue because they are mostly on board with the whole content of character v color of skin (or religion or sexual identity etc).

I have to look at my own prejudices as well.

I think we need Bernie now, not just for people but for this planet. We don't have time for incremental change.

the advisory committee for the county OFA. The lady next to me turned to me, after I made a pro- Bernie comment and confided that she had changed her registration from Indy to Democrat, just so she could vote for Bernie in the Dem Primary. She confided how tough it was being Liberal and working for gummint and having to say nothing in a Redneck area. I shared with her that I was gay and surely knew that. We laughed.

I work in an urban setting and our workplace is probably 55/45 black to white and 90% female. I can tell you that my AA friends are almost unanimously pro-Hillary. I've gotten my best friend to warm up to Bernie, but quite a few of the others really love Hillary and remember Bill quite fondly. Glad to hear that Bernie is attracting more minorities, but think he still has a long way to go, at least in the South.
