(55,981 posts)about the bias of the Corp-Media now are ok with it since it supports their candidate. The same applies with Citizens United. There should be a cartoon showing HRC shaking her finger at Citizens United saying, "you stop that", while accepting cash with a hand behind her from Citizens United. It's hypocrisy. We need honesty in government, we need Sen Sanders as president.

(12,471 posts)My former congressman, Maurice Hinchey, who wrote the Media Ownership Reform Act, has since retired, due to health issues, and nobody has picked up his mantle. The law did not pass while the Cons were in the majority, but he kept reintroducing it. It sickens me that we now have a Con as our rep in congress, who never listens to the people, and always listens to big business. When people are made aware of this, they often turn a deaf ear, or just dismiss it as a lie.

(3,133 posts)That's what I heard on the street this morning. Not only do they say they don't trust Clinton, they are now afraid of her after watching the last debate. I thought that was interesting.

And what are you going to do or say if they did?
You would be ridiculed as a conspiracy theorist and the media would insist it was all predicted by their polls and news.
I fear we are headed for an Orwellian future if something is not done.

(3,256 posts)The real question to me is why anyone pays any attention to the MSM. It is what it is. Corporate News Network, National Petroleum Radio and all the rest are funded by corporate money. If they didn't follow their line, they wouldn't get the dollars.
Asking the media for honesty is like asking Isil for tolerance. For myself I came to the conclusion that the MSM is hopeless a long time ago and that it has to be circumvented in order for any change to happen.
