Guess the former lowly IT guy, from his hideaway in Russia, is trying to extend it by showing his knowledge of US foreign policy is superior to a former SOS.

What would you call it if Soviet Union was spying on the entire world, and persecuting Russian whistleblower? What would you call that?

What Snowden, and apparently you don't get, is that making revelations about domestic spying on US citizens is admirable, heroic even, but revealing details of his own country's covert, international operations is sedition.

You're actually saying that the US should stop its international, covert operations while other nations continue? Because they certainly aren't going to cease and desist just because we do.

And our intelligence operations are not the cause of blowback against us. It's our boneheaded invasions of with bombing and troops in the Middle East and other parts of the world that created enemies, ISIS for example.

And you can blame that on George W. Bus and Cheney — your heroes, I take it.

He's no more qualified to criticize a former SOS's foreign policy bona fides than he was to decide that he, a 29-year-old, lowly IT guy, was the one qualified to make the decision to reveal details of his own country's international, covert operations.

The domestic spying revelations were admirable, heroic even. My hat's off to him for that, but he went to far with the ill-advised international disclosures.

That's sedition. If he ever comes back here he'll be tried for that.

That's a mighty big, muscular word that some like to bandy about...but even this Justice Dept, with its over-reliance on the bullshit Espionage Act, doesn't agree.

17. interesting turn of events. The public views him as a hero. Black Lives Matters eg, have

been in touch with him re the Government spying on THEM.

Shame, isn't it, to live in a country that spies on its own people, yet continues to CLAIM it is a democracy.

BLM plans to hold another conference with him to get advice on how they can get the government to stop spying on them.

Govt did the same thing to OWS. Snowden did the right thing. Glad we still have people who will take their duty as citizens as seriously as he has. We need whistle blowers. But our govt must have a lot to hide from us considering the way they treat Whistle Blowers here.

20. Just to clear up my position on Snowden

His revelations of domestic spying was admirable and heroic even.

My hat is off to him for that.

But he went too far. IMO, a 29-year-old, lowly IT guy, should not be making the decision to reveal details of his own country's international, covert operations, possibly endangering our operatives and foreign nationals working with them. People make not like it but all countries spy on enemy countries, and even allies at times (google Jonathon Pollard who spied for Israel against the U.S.).

That's an entirely different issue than exposing the NSA's domestic spying, which was a good thing.

But as they are 'walking while black' I guess I should have expected it. We need so much reform; it is daunting to see how many interconnected things have to be overhauled.

You know what? Her foreign policy position is just utterly disastrous. On Wall Street reform position at least she's lying about how she's gonna be tough on them.
But her foreign policy? My god...she has been a disaster on foreign policy and her stance on current Syrian crisis is abysmal. She didn't learn anything from Iraq and Libya. It's truly astonishing.
