It's a mess at United/Continental for Flight Attendants...well, for some Flight Attendants and that would be on the United side. They want a new and merged contract...unfortunately some forces don't...it's way past time to get the two Flight Attendant sides merged and moved forward.

Good for Bernie.

You simply cannot fake that. My dad flew for United for over 20 years and luckily, he didn't live long enough to see what's happening now. My best friend, and my flight instructor from way back, also flew with United for 25 years. He lost his pension. He was not as lucky as my dad.

a few years ago as part of bankruptcy proceedings. This means that many employees lost part or all of their pensions.

It was about 12 years ago, he had an infection that basically ruined his heart. He told me back then something about not being able to get his full pension and that his medical, he was in the hospital over 3 months, would leave him broke. Havent heard from him since, I sure hope he's ok. Ill try and found out exactly what happened.

DO NOT represent the employees. The CWA endorsement for Bernie does. It was the employees selection that won him the endorsement.

LIke the DFA endorsement today - 88% of the members voted for Bernie.
Both the cwa and dfa endorsements were based on all members having a vote as opposed to the 'SCIENTIFIC" polls that are generally have a scientifically skewed demographic to favor, well, you know..........

United fired all the baggage handlers. The baggage situation was a mess after that. They hired a private contractor to come in and sub out the work. They were trying to cut costs.

I heard about this move on the radio when it was first announced, and emailed my spouse who was on a trip to CA. He was able to do carry-on because of that message, and saved himself a world of hurt on that trip. Since then, he's mostly done carry-on.

That's United for you.
