Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumOK Bernie People - What Can We Do To Help Get The Blackedout Info On Bernie Out To The Public?.....
It the last day I've now read at least two threads here on DU that provide the facts/numbers/info on how the MSM has blacked out coverage to Bernie in relation to the other candidates.
Here's one: http://www.democraticunderground.com/128082379
Here's another: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251894934
How can we as Bernie supporters get this information out the American People in a big way to show them that they are being sandbagged by the MSM and the 1% and that Bernie's message is being kept from them on purpose. That they are being steered clear of Bernie - because he poses a threat to the lifestyles of the 1% and has the right message for the rest of us 99%'ers.
I know that if the American People realize that they are being kept away from Bernie's message in comparison to all the other candidates that they would begin rally around Bernie.
Now I'm not that computer savvy to put a youtube video together or start some sort of viral campaign to get this word out - but I'm sure that there are Bernie supporters here on DU that are capable and knowledgeable to do just that.
Something like showing the differences in coverage between Bernie and other candidates and then some clips of what Bernie's platform is and some of his statements from his speeches versus what some of the other candidates are saying with statements from some of their speeches.
We here on DU learn about what the MSM has done and continues to do to Bernie. The rank and file American - being manipulated by the MSM doesn't have a clue - and I'm sure if something was put together and taken viral - to show just how Bernie is being discriminated in the press and on tv - that they would begin to rally around Bernie.
I know that while DU is down for an extended time over this weekend and possibly into a bit of next week - that I'm going to tell everyone that I know what is being kept away from them. Others of you Bernie supporters here on DU that are more with it on putting videos together and social media - please use that time when DU is down to put something together that we can take viral.
This word needs to get out - and we can help. If the MSM won't get the word out - it is up to us Bernie supporters to get the word out.
Any other ideas would be appreciated. Post them here or your support of this idea.

(25,263 posts)it is not as effective as a good viral campaign that can reach countless more people than one call at a time.
Given the dearth of coverage that Bernie has gotten over this primary season - we need something big, widespread and more effective - that can provide much more coverage.

(25,263 posts)that unless they are died in the wool Dem supporters and politically astute - I can't get them to visit or join DU.
My OP is to get the word out well beyond just us loyal followers of DU. We need a viral campaign. Like I said a Youtube video to put out there on social media sites - that exponentially gets the word out.
That's the kind of help that Bernie needs as many people are still not familiar with him as us Bernie supporters are. And because maybe the only things that they heard on MSM is that he's a grumpy old man and a socialist and doesn't have a chance at winning a GE if he's nominated.
With the lack of coverage he's had - that's the kind of message that sticks with people - because they haven't been told anything good about the man.

#mediablackout or something like that
Tweet the networks too, why should they miss out on all the fun?
If successful enough, it becomes news unto itself and will get attention. No, the networks wouldn't air anything about it, but that doesn't mean the message will be lost.

(46,753 posts)The concept of "occupy" was easily spread to become a household word, regardless of how you felt about it.
And then there is Facebook "sharing."
And I suggested Flash Mobs. Maybe those Flash Mobs should be more Bernie oriented and the people can pass flyers out? Maybe they can become mini-theater?
