Just putting this out there

If Bernie supporters stayed out of threads that are meant to incite, more Bernie supporters would be available for juries.

If Bernie supporters ignored posts meant to incite, then the posts would drop like stones.

Most importantly, I think we're just allowing ourselves to be drawn into drama and then our real message is lost. That being, of the two main candidates, (sorry Martin O'Malley, I do love) Bernie Sanders is the only one that will actually fight for the 99%. His record proves it. Just like Clinton's record proves she a war mongering, corporatist that cares more about money than anything else.

I know I'm guilty of it myself. I'm not calling anyone out here. I will, however, quote my beloved, wise, grandmother again, "The more that'll be said about it, the more there'll be said about it."

So, please, I beseech you, stick to facts, ignore the drama, and let's get Bernie Sanders elected President of the United States of America.

56. Lies cannot be challenged in flame bait threads. No one reads the challenges. The way to challenge
Tue Dec 1, 2015, 12:23 AM
Dec 2015

Flame Bait threads that are lying, is to post a NEW OP filled with FACTS.

Lies challenged inside the Flame Bait thread perpetrate the lies by kicking them and keeping them going.

If you see eg, something about Bernie's age, which is a non issue btw, post a new OP about Hillary's age which of course doesn't matter either.

Boring, flame bait threads will sink and go unnoticed if they are not fed by people attempting to correct them. THAT is what they WANT.

Hundreds of comments arguing within such threads makes it seem as if they are about something important and more people read the OP but few will read all the comments

Iow, no matter how factual or brilliant a comment may be, the arbiters of flame bait threads know that no one is going to read them and they are lost in the crowd. Better to turn good comments responding to lies, into their own OPs.

Let the facts get to the Rec list, not the lies. Commenting in such threads is like pouring fuel on a fire.

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

As someone who is neither a Hillary supporter or basher or a Bernie supporter or basher, I think that using groups to talk about and slime the supporters of other candidates is pretty much the antithesis of democratic values and why this web site exists.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Nov 30, 2015, 12:42 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: As an undecided Democrat, I, too, have tired of this nonsense. Anyone who continues it, should be called out on it. This post is harmful to DU.

The people who use these intimidation tactics think it will end after the elections are long over but people will remember who were there at the heart of it. DU is very divided right now, and I don't think it will ever recover. Maybe that's the plan...in the long run, to bring this website down and make us look foolish. I don't think once this is all over, there will be total satisfaction here. And, should a Republican steal the White House again, then there will truly be anger and finger pointing, and blame. I remember when Bush won in 2000 and how disappointed I was..and how the Republican's pushed it in our faces, calling us losers, and telling us to GET OVER IT! Its why I came here...we all needed someone to lean on, during those times. I hope to hell we don't go though that ever again.
