Unofficially nicknamed "Hillarycare" (after First Lady Hillary Clinton) by its detractors, was a 1993 healthcare reform package proposed by the administration of President Bill Clinton and closely associated with the chair of the task force devising the plan, First Lady of the United States Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Its goal was to come up with a comprehensive plan to provide universal health care for all Americans, which was to be a cornerstone of the administration's first-term agenda.

but it was not. It was based on HeritageCare and is not that different than the ACA.

With that truth in mind, are any of us surprised that Clinton does not want to push for Single Payer now?

3. She held a lot of public meetings - inviting everyone who

had something to say. I always thought she got bogged down in too many advisers. And while we viewers got to know who she invited we did not get to know what they said.
