There's no organized way to do it in one fell swoop (unless your Party goes to bat for you, perhaps...somehow I don't think Hillary is being run through this gantlet). Talk about a dysfunctional democracy! Could we make it any harder?

registered voters in the state and pay a filing fee for the primaries. After a person wins that primary(Assuming that there are more than 1 running for that party position) then the party places them on the general election.

Or will all of Hillary Clinton's supporters on the DU forum still claim Bernie isn't a Democrat!?

The reason Democrats don't have litmus tests in order to vote as Democrats, is because we want Republicans to start voting as Democrats.
That's the whole idea behind making it easy for them to switch political parties.
Sheeeesh!

Now, on the other hand, if making it harder to vote as Democrats was supposed to be a party ideal, then why have registration drives to begin with, to get new voters to vote with us?

See, either way, it is supposed to be easy to become a Democrat.
Which undermines every fucking stupid thread the others have started at DU about Bernie not being a Democrat!!!
