http://www.commondreams.org/views/2015/11/23/who-impugns-hillarys-integrityDown on Wall Street they dont believe it for a minute. While the finance industry does genuinely hate Warren, the big bankers love Clinton, and by and large they badly want her to be president. ... What about her forays into fiery rhetoric? They dismiss it quickly as political maneuvers. None of them think she really means her populism. (emphasis added)
More recently, Camden Fine, head of the Independent Community Bankers of America, similarly discounted Clintons populist rhetoric: She gonna all of a sudden become Mrs. Wall Street if shes elected. So its all Bernie theatrics right now. Shes a Clinton, for Gods sake. What do you expect?

(47,953 posts)The Dem leadership is counting on voters having short memories and attention spans. Say anything, because it won't matter later, seems to be the guiding principle (if one can call it that) of the time.

(6,829 posts)Lets see, I think she was an enthusiastic backer of the TPP until recently. Spoke in favor of it 34 times, then the debates, where she said she wouldn't support it "as it's currently written."
So does that mean if they change one semi-colon into a colon that she will then support it as President?
Just seems like Academy Award Winning Weasel Words to me......
I wonder what Cabinet positions she'll give to Lloyd Blankfein and Jamie Diamon when she wins?

We've been seeing how Camp Weathervane currently works...pair that with her history...and it's all bad.
I don't want the Clintons anywhere near the White House ever again.

(5,668 posts)face palm alas the problem with Donald is he's usually inciting a riot not that hey actually means a thing he says... and any real Republican knows it. They don't want him nominated. Same goes for Hillary from the left. Gonna cause all sorts of weird problems if they win. Right voting left and Left voting Right X_X

(10,126 posts)It was a trade deal for big business. In the 90s big business cashed in big time ... while the middle class lost their factory jobs.
Bill supported it, pushed it and put it through on his watch. Hillary stumped for it. There's video of her doing so. Corporations won and the little people lost.
In 2008, Hillary maintained she was against NAFTA all along - or something to that effect - until the old videos started playing.
That's just one more example.
Many of you have seen Hillary flip-flopping on bankruptcy (Moyers interview with Elizabeth Warren)

In my opinion, Hillary has been a chameleon. On many issues, she does not have firm beliefs/strong convictions that should survive no matter what - rather they're positions of political convenience and she seems to flip positions pandering for votes. Just google Hillary and Flip-flops or Hillary pandering if one has trouble believing it.
How Hillary Panders

She's not going to turn her back on Wall Street donors potentially facing a 2020 election. They funded Bill and her politically for decades. That isn't going to change any time soon.
