Just a couple of Bernie stories in my real life.

Last week I was shopping at Trader Joe's. A couple of millenials stopped me to sign a petition for bringing the minimum wage up to $15 an hour. The young fella noticed a Bernie button I had on my purse. He said he wanted to work for Bernie and didn't know where to go. It just so happened that I had the email of the local Bernie campaign leader on me so I gave it to him. We had a nice little chat as to why we like Bernie. This guy was passionate on what he would do to get Bernie elected. He told me he would do anything.

The second story is I live rurally and people don't like you opening their gates and coming up the walk to ring their doorbells. It's seriously regarded as trespassing. Well, two millenials did open the gates and came up to my little rental cabin as the property owners weren't home. The dogs of course started a fit of barking, which brought me out of my home and in front of them. I had to tell them they were trespassing and no one was at home. They were actually activists out talking to home owners about how to convert to solar for their energy needs. The young man apologized but told me he thought we would be friendlier since he saw the Bernie sticker on one of the cars. I laughed and told them the Bernie sticker was mine but I was just a renter and had nothing to say about what happened on the property. Then he reached out with a fist bump to me and said, "Feel the Bern."

This made me feel good about our young people. They really are wanting real change and are willing to work for it. We have to do all we can to make sure they don't lose their enthusiasm. Anyone else have some good stories about encounters out in the real world and how people, especially the young people are really enthused about him. I have not had one person tell me how thrilled they are about Hillary and would do anything to work for her. As a matter of fact one of my middle aged lady friends who was all for Hillary because she was the only one who could win and because it was time for a woman President has recently told me that she's decided on Bernie after all.

Go Bernie!

I posted this someplace else a while ago...

We went out Saturday night to dinner...I'll call it a much enhanced Denny's/family restaurant in the Los Angeles area...they have about 10 locations.

Two guys behind me...at least 50's and I would say in the ZZ Top or Jerry Garcia style, started talking Bernie and it was favorable (I didn't butt in because my food arrived!)

And then when I gave the tip to our waiter (a REALLY good and nice guy)...I told him I was including "political propaganda"...a business size card from FeelTheBern.org (that I printed and carry with me)...he said that he already knew about Bernie, will be voting for him and that he would share the card.

I do believe that the width and depth of his support is underestimated...he just needs to keep talking and holding his rallies...people will Spread the Bern!
