I know I should post this in GD-P but I cant even LOOK in there for all the lunacy.
I find it really offensive to humanity, that with all the problems left over from our illegal war in this country, that Clinton gathered up companies like Exxon and JP Morgan to pick over the carcass of this country to try and exploit their natural resources. How does this make her any better than Darth Vadar Cheney?
Anyway, take a look at this; the State Department released information on a roundtable discussion about Iraq. (http://www.scribd.com/doc/283273910/Clinton-Iraq-Email).
Also this is an interesting article with lots of links to other sources. http://www.ibtimes.com/campaign-2016-hillary-clinton-pitched-iraq-business-opportunity-us-corporations-2121999
Meanwhile, Senator Sanders has introduced legislation several times to counteract Wall Street speculation in the commodities markets. His efforts go back to 2009 with his Energy Market Manipulation Prevention Act which unfortunately died in committee.
Sanders, a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, cites the 5 percent crude oil price rise since June 12 when hostilities intensified in several Iraqi cities as evidence for malpractice. In the longer term, Sanders notes that oil prices have increased by 53 percent over the past five years even though Energy Information Administration figures suggest that supply has risen by 4.3 percent while demand has dropped by 1 percent in that time.http://www.nationaljournal.com/s/72486/iraqi-violence-has-restarted-bernie-sanderss-gas-price-fight-with-wall-street
I am getting tired of big oil companies and Wall Street speculators using Iraq as an excuse to pump up oil and gas prices, Sanders said in a statement. The fact is that high gasoline prices have less to do with supply and demand and more to do with Wall Street speculators driving prices up in the energy futures market.
Lastly I find it HILARIOUS that Media Matters called out the above publication (International Business Times) among others for not mentioning Jeb!s ties to the fossil fuel industry. A general search of their site turns up no such criticism of the same for Clinton. http://mediamatters.org/research/2015/09/30/jeb-bush-has-major-fossil-fuel-ties-and-media-c/205882

(11,945 posts)in this respect. Cheney said the same thing to his energy task force (energy companies) in early 2001 behind closed doors. He had maps showing the Iraqi oil wells.

Bear in mind that this was months before 9/11.
In certain respects, Hillary and Dick are not that far apart.
