(819 posts)I am still angry about that ... and NO, many of us did not have a say. Apparently this was an issue back at convention and leadership advised NOT to endorse early.
Just feeling like HRC is being forced upon us, like it or not.

(12,882 posts)It's a FACT.
All the people complaining about the endorsement are not actually members of the union, they're just astroturfing. Someone on DU told me so!!!

(11,366 posts)It was when the SEIU tried to organize at one of the largest hotels in Pigeon Forge. They were subjected to firings, job hostage-holding and all manner of employer intimidation.
It failed by just a few votes and I was there to report on the results.
There's one thing I know having met these people and still remaining friends with some of the organizers: they don't want to settle for $12 a hour when they're FOR $15 an hour. These people are MAD.

(26,624 posts)I worked 12 long years under Reagan and Bush, the last 5 as a union member. When Clinton was elected, we expecting things to be better, and they were, but not much.
Both my sons are union and both support Bernie, as do most of their friends in the rank and file.
When I saw this post, the first word that came to my mind was "honest."
