I knew someone would suggest a Sanders/O'Malley(VP) ticket eventually. I like O'Malley... (Original Post) Playinghardball Nov 2015 OP

person for VP. There's no comfort in a VP that might reverse Bernie's accomplishments. A person of color or a woman would be good as well.

I like O'Malley, but I'm not confident he would follow Bernie's prescription.

Though she says she can do more good from exactly where she is. Who knows better than she does? I trust her.

He showed a real fire for reducing carbon emissions, so I would be OK with him. He is definitely my second choice to get the nomination.

Gender, geographic and ethnic balance. Makes more sense to me.....

Can't figure O'Malley out - he does provide age and geographic balance....I still don't know how deep his ties are to the establishment.

O'Malley given the NAACP lawsuits from when he was mayor of Baltimore and some possible connections to the Third Way.

I need to see him more on the national stage before I can judge for sure. He might make a good Senator.

But yes, Lee is perfect for many reasons.

He's a little slick and never felt completely real to me. I like what he says, but like you I don't trust that he is much removed from 3rd way positions and triangulation. At my house I call him Fake Bernie, which is probably a little harsh, but it's what my gut says about him.

I like Warren for a main cabinet post like Treasury or head of Council of Economic Advisors, or leading the Securitiies and Exchange Commission (I don't really know much about that group). Or she could stay in the Senate.

Either way, it would greatly help if Warren would endorse and campaign for Bernie. The fact that she hasn't is probably a bad sign, we may see her wait it out and position herself for a spot in Hillary's administration if that's the way things go.

Love Babara Lee, excellent VP choice.

If Bernie's campaign is going down (and I hope it doesn't) I wonder if there is still time for Warren to take a shot at it? She apparently doesn't want to, so there's that.

Hillary is one of my least favorite Democrats, if she gets the nomination it's going to seriously suck for me and many others who don't want corporate-friendly bought and owned 3rd way Democrats running things.
