Related: About this forumTicket giveaway for Bernie Sanders rally draws big crowds at CU-Boulder
Sen. Bernie Sanders' campaign began giving out free tickets this morning to the presidential candidate's Saturday rally on the University of Colorado's East Campus.
A few minutes after 9 a.m., when ticket distribution began, a long line stretched out from the ticket table in the courtyard between the Engineering Center and the Mathematics building.
Several hundred people of all ages waited patiently along the sidewalk in the sun while campaign staffers peppered them with requests for pictures holding "Bernie 2016" campaign signs. Activists with petitions for an array of issues also trolled the line.

I guess this gives us an idea of the actual turnout!

This is a great idea!
I did find it interesting that the rally requires a ticket...different from the usual.

"This month, chatter on the CU campus has centered on the Republican presidential debate coming to the Coors Events Center on Oct. 28. Students are mobilizing around the idea that just 100 tickets are being made available to the CU community. They say they want more seats in exchange for CU hosting -- and paying for -- the debate."
The place of Bernie's Rally holds a max of 10,000.
