I had intentionally waited to make any “formal” endorsement until after the municipal primary, but the time has come. I am supporting, and endorsing, Senator Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign. My endorsement is an individual one, and does not represent any group, committee, or panel that I may be a part of.
Senator Sanders policy views are the best path forward for our nation. Out of all the candidates in either party he has the most practical, realistic, and reliable vision for how to improve the lives of ordinary Americans, start to tackle the federal budget deficit, and reintroduce the concept of justice to the domestic economy. Almost every single issue I consider to be important is a central pillar of his campaign platform. For the other candidates, they are either on the opposite side or have adopted key issues as afterthoughts and haven't been campaigning on them. Examples include cracking down on wall street corruption, fighting crony capitalism, returning to a more progressive tax structure and closing tax loopholes, fundamental campaign finance reform, opposition to unbalanced trade deals, and expanding access to higher education by reducing-or-eliminating tuition.
