Just now listening to the folks at BernieTV as they try to livestream Bernie's event, without much luck. But they are interesting to listen to, anyway. A great idea they passed along is in this tweet:

If you can afford to do it, this is a great action. Reach out to hard working people with our message and give a hardworking person a couple extra bucks, to boot. Win-win.

9. That's great, we also tip service workers well. I'll add a Bernie mention too now.

While driving in a suburban area last year we put together $140 and circled back to give it to a woman standing in a median strip with a small cardboard sign near a subway station.
She was alone, looked so humble and I couldn't take how indifferent the drivers were who sped by. Seeing the lady's surprise and happiness was gratifying although it was a only a small contribution to help the life she's living.

I call 25-30 people daily to make sure that 20-40 dwindles to the 1% who don't care anyway .

10. Great idea. I hope every server groks "Feel the Bern."

My riff about servers: I waited a couple of tables a few summers to earn my stay in summer camp. It was one of the easiest serving jobs imaginable. I started at a very healthy age 14. It was still one of the physically hardest and most tiring things I've done in my life.

IMO, almost anything one leaves a good server is not enough anyway. So, every once in a while, I throw another $10 on top of what I would ordinarily leave, just in memory of my brief and exhausting serving "career."

I am delighted to up that to $15, do it more often and write "Sanders 2016 for $15 min. wage."
