2. September 8 is Bernie's birthday. The idea is to donate as much as one can on that day, to

provide him a "money bomb."

I don't know where the idea started, but I am going to make the best-one time gift I can that day. (I had previously set up a recurring donation that I knew I could afford with the idea of making one time donations, too, from time to time, if I felt flush.)
