Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumTPTB Seem Really Afraid Of Bernie...
They are shutting him out of the Right Stream Media (RSM) and are now hedging their bets with Biden as Hillary is faultering in the polls. Bernie is gaining on Hillary and will win in Iowa and New Hampshire. After that it will be hard for the RSM to ignore Bernie. He will garner more support as people begin hearing from him and there will be no stopping him then. I think this is why the push is on now to promote Biden as a candidate. They see the need to put the brakes on Bernie before it's too late. Unfortunately the genie is out of the bottle already and there is no stopping Bernie now. In fact all their efforts to twart Bernie is only helping him.
Go Bernie!!!! Feel the Bern!!!!
Dig in folks and keep turning out those crowds for Bernie.

(14,733 posts)Biden and Hillary are going to be fighting for the exact same voters, and will wind up splitting what Hillary has now, letting Bernie slide past both of them in a lot more states. The only chance they have is for there to be Biden or Hillary, but not both. And even then, Bernie is going to be a real contender.

(45,251 posts)I think there is an anybody but Hillary vote that is going to Sanders but could go to Biden on the theory that Biden is more electible than Bernie and we must avoid a Republican Presidency at all costs. I know one person like that. Says he ideologically more aligned with Bernie, but fears a Republican victory. He will NOT vote for Hillary though.

(11,197 posts)Elizabeth Warren as Senate Majority Leader. What do you think a team like that could accomplish? TPTB would rather not find out.

(11,197 posts)than Bernie as POTUS and EW as Senate Majority Leader? I can't. If they want to get things done, and I'm quite sure they do, then that is the single best dynamic duo that could accomplish it. DNC head would be a waste, as would a VP slot for EW as these positions have limited, or no, real legislative power. SC Justice appointment after serving as Senate Majority Leader overseeing a major overhaul in DC would work for me though.

(11,197 posts)when he was asked if he was worried about Joe Biden meeting with Elizabeth Warren. His response "I've met with her MANY TIMES". Cool as a cucumber.

(39,215 posts)the cabinet positions. In his Netflix documentary he talked about being excited about his appointment to the Clinton administration because he thought they would give him a chance to change things. They did not.
I think he and Bernie would make a great team on economics.

(5,400 posts)I have a sense that the Sanders campaign efforts will be epic, and that the story of that campaign is going to be a very important one to American politics. It might even be historical in what it shows of America's changing attitudes towards politics as usual.
But HRC makes a real lot of sense to a real lot of primary voters in Iowa. Most of them will be up on the issues, and how Senator Sanders goes about winning their hearts and minds is something we'll be closely following.
Thankfully, they are big on participating in the process and are likely to be influenced to some degree by Sanders rallies and speeches. I'm hoping they'll be impressed by what they're seeing taking form as a result of the Sanders campaign. It's a movement to take back government for the 99%. They're part of that 99%, and this campaign can win them over.

(57,936 posts)I volunteered and started talking to voters last night.
He is even more popular here in Los Angeles than I thought, more than any candidate I have campaigned for. And we are just starting.
There is no stopping Bernie. We are organizing change at the grass-roots level.

(14,807 posts)I kind of get the feeling that the TPTB have lots and lots of secrets and deals. If Bernie sweeps in and is supported by like minded intelligent people, it will be truly a Revolution. They are in protect mode. All of them. The MSM, the fossil fuel, Pharma and chemical Corporations, the Politicians...all of them just about.
Scary actually. He needs a ton of back up.
