Saw this on the Sanders for President sub Reddit today
Bernie Sanders is campaigning for the 2016 presidential election in the United States. What separates him from others is his impressive sincerity and absolutely flawless track-record. If you look, you'll find that he has been singing the same songs today as he was even 25-30 years ago!
The goal of this app is to bring you closer to his campaign and to keep you informed of nearby events, news updates from the campaign itself, and also to incorporate some of the amazing websites and applications that other grassroots contributors have built for free, to further the campaign's efforts.
Remember folks, everything you see here has been made on our own time, because we as denizens of the country are sick and tired of having too little faith in our political system. Enough is enough, and we're going hard to do our best to get Bernie Sanders to win not only the democratic nomination, but also the bid for the 2016 presidential election.

(11,641 posts)Bernie 2016 TV is adding content and having discussions beyond just Bernie's speeches. It's a great time with about three regulars doing some discussion of recent happenings before and after the events. Sometimes they have guests and they're always encouraging others to send youtube clips or do live reporting from events that they can include. They also try to include some back and forth with those who chat at Youtube.com during their broadcasts.
I just downloaded the Bernie app and will be checking it out.
So far I like the news feed function the best. Nice feature to quickly see the most recent news headlines with links to the stories by just opening the app.

These kids who have been so burnt by the generations that went before are doing things to change the conversation in their own language in their own time.
That's damned inspiring!

(2,760 posts)My phone doesn't do all those things, as I'm pretty out of the loop with hi-tec. I may have to learn now. It sounds exciting. Except since I am in Thailand, it might frustrate me to know all the events I am missing.

(15,719 posts)I mean to say that in the past everything had to be cleared and approved from above. Nothing could be said or done without the approval of the candidates committee.
But this whole campaign seems to be coming from the people outside the committee.
In the past, it was a sin to make posters and stickers without the candidates approval, because the candidate wanted to sell them to you. I think everyone senses that something has changed. There are local candidates now starting to try to run with local contributions. It has been along time coming. I guess we will see if it will work at the local level or where the old method of a rich group picks who is going to run for office.
I hope someone gets an iPhone app built soon.
