Bernie Sanders

`Last1standing...
I'm proud to stand with Bernie Sanders, and I think my endorsement is just as important as that of any politician who jumped on the Hillary bandwagon when she was seen as the only viable choice.
I endorse Bernie because he is the ONLY candidate with a 50 year track record of supporting the working class and the poor with solutions, not vague promises.
I endorse him because he spoke out for the LGBT community when candidates like Hillary were telling us that God thought less of us than "normal" people.
I endorse him because he stood up stood up for civil rights 50 years ago and has never stood down despite what the propagandists and liars say, and the ignorant delude themselves into believing.
I endorse him because when he says something, I know that he honestly believes it and isn't pandering for votes.
I may be alone on this list, but I made my endorsement for far a better reason than any politician who has endorsed the front runner in this election. I made it because Bernie Sanders SHOULD be President, not because I expect him to be.
And the best thing about my lone endorsement is that I'm only alone in this post. Every day, more and more people are finding out about Bernie and more and more are endorsing him for their own reasons that have nothing to do with hoping for a quid pro quo. Maybe enough people endorse him to win the primary, and maybe not, but each of their endorsements will mean more than any political endorsement made out of greed or fear.

(12,471 posts)I have been telling everyone I know about him. Even conservatives like him, for the simple reason that he has been consistent about his views, and he has been honest. Even conservatives say that this is something that is sorely needed in this country today!

(18,998 posts)I would expect them to endorse one of their own to keep the game going.
It is profitable for them to do so...not so much for ordinary people.
