Bernie Sanders

I am posting this with a time stamp at the position where this latest A and P bankruptcy is being discussed. This is the most crucial aspect of what has been happening in America, and what is being done to us now, and will continue unless we stop it.
I want to add that this video begins with the most outstanding and complete explanation of what the EU has been doing to Greece, not too unlike the A and P bankruptcy. There's a comparison to Mitt Romney's 47% which is very frightening, if you see how it compares to what Merkel has done.
There is also a discusssion on the truth about the minimum wage increase.
I'm posting this in the Sanders group because none of it is important if anyone but Bernie is our next president. Go ahead and call me names, but what struck me in part of the video was the comparison of Republicans to conservative Democrats, as being the same. Anything short of what Bernie proposes is conservative. Sorry about that. The truth hurts.
The time it starts at is 36:37.

(23,867 posts)It's hard to distill this stuff down. He mentions Bernie as being our hope in moving towards an economy that is democratized. And that's not what the other socialist countries did, and why they did not succeed.

(23,867 posts)I am so busy I don't have the time to search for it.
I never miss Max and Stacy each week too. But Wolff is right on target. I'm so happy about the chance we have to start this.

(22,920 posts)I've posted repeatedly at DU over the years about creating member- and worker-owned cooperatives.
I love the work Wolff and Gar Alperovitz are doing in this regard.

(23,867 posts)I'm a bit discouraged that something this pivotal would be ignored by most people. I did it, so I should be able to figure it out. I guess it's one of those subjects that isn't much of a one liner. You've got to be ready for it. I'm very slow at learning some things, and it has taken me years to digest economics to the point where I can even understand it.
Bernie is going to help move this along, I feel. It's like even if he fails to win the election, the people have heard the message. It's something we're unconscious about. I see it with diet too. It's personal. And there seems to be very little concern. Meanwhile, the effects are literally killing people.
People don't realize what they could and should have. We're used to suffering.

(22,920 posts)For worker coops to be part of his 12-point agenda, that's very encouraging.
