I have a question.

I was just banned form the African American group for posting. I wasn't belligerent or disruptive, I simply asked some questions. I'm not the most savvy person on here so what I would like to know is, how do you know it's a particular group if there is no mention of it in the discussion topic? Should I be looking somewhere on the site to know it's a 'group' post? Thank you.

1. Have to look up above "post a reply" to see where it is when posting

It also says so above thread title on the greatest and latest pages.

I've pre-emptively trashed several 'Rooms" so I don't accidentally run into that issue. AA group seems dominated by HRC supporters, and they are very prickly.

2. At the top, look for "Latest Threads, Forums and Groups, etc. and then on this page it says

That can be a big Gotcha! trap and lots of people make that mistake....I've done it and ended up in, ugh, the HRC group.

IF you click on articles there, look at the top of post to see where which group/section it's located in...I run away now as fast as I can.

Right below the tabs above this post of yours, I see

DU Home » Latest Threads » Forums & Groups » Bernie Sanders (Group) » I have a question.

As a line of links. Every time you move around the site, there is a similar set of links showing you where you are on each page.

I just assumed since it was posted to the main page it was meant for open discussion. I guess it like we have our own 'clubs' on here.
