I love the DU Bernie Sanders group. I feel we have been through

and survived a tough weekend and our candidate continues to lead with grace and intelligence. Tomorrow I will go to Omaha Steve's Act Blue link and set up a monthly contribution for Bernie. What a rock star our guy is!

I said earlier...it's like being at Disneyland in here compared to other areas of DU currently.

The Portland event was excellent!

I would call it one intelligent candidate that refused to be baited by a political action that could have blown up had he not done exactly what he did (which was to say hello and leave the rally before it spiraled out of control). Whether or not the BLM protestors were on the up and up or not, it didn't matter and his actions since have been spot on, particularly tying his message of economic fairness to that of racial fairness. While that does not complete the requirement for badly needed change in our country it is a promise that we simply have not seen fulfilled in this country since the end of the Civil War.

Black Lives do Matter, but we as a country don't act like it. There is a laundry list of change that is needed before things are set right. True full employment, an end to unnecessary police violence, equal opportunity....only when all of the charts align without regard to color will we truly be there.

Bernie Sanders may not solve all of these issues if he is elected President, but I believe his policies would get us closer than we ever have been. That being said, we still have a few years with this President, who can also make a difference and who I believe is committed to do that as well.

Bernie Sanders IS the best next step.

Interesting that they weren't on the up and up, that was my suspicion frankly, but who knows until its sourced. I did see some threads here about them, hope that makes it in as a sidebar to someone like Maddow, but I think it will just likely be forgotten.

I also saw something posted about security at his events. That should get started sooner rather than later.
