(Metrilink) for 31 mile will be: Total fare = $9.25
Trip time is about 2 hours and 50 minutes.
Trip distance is about 40.53 miles.

Actual driving distance is 31 miles or about 40 minutes (against traffic - though I'd give it an hour) at that time. And there is no way back on the Metrolink that late.

I hate our public transportation system. It will actually be cheaper for me to take a vacation day off and drive since I have 3 people going. i was hoping I could go to work and have the take the train to Union Station and meet them there but the time and cost of that are actually prohibitive. I'd have to pay the parking fee anyway plus gas and they would have to spend $18.50 on train fare plus spend nearly 3 hours on it.

For Bernie, I will take the day off and drive everyone. Thank goodness and DU I found out in time to request it off.

to you. Five people going, good for you!

And if everyone brings even one person, I don't think they'll have a problem filling that stadium.

After I used your link to RSVP, I went to check my email for confirmation (which I got) and there were the original invitations dated today. I rarely check my email so would have missed them entirely (along with the event) without your post. I have been looking for events that would be at all possible to attend and thought I would have to fly somewhere.

Thank you so much!

Maybe we could meet up someplace. I'm going to be there early, around 5:00 because anytime after that is going to be insane. We can get a DU contingent going!

But, it takes a login...one of these days I may have to join.

I would be coming straight up the Harbor/110...however, I hate driving and the traffic would probably suck as usual...checked and there is actually an express bus from the area, taking about 45 minutes...not bad. Then coming back...sheesh, bus change, bus change, bus change. It looked pretty cheap though.

21. Traffic Map for the Los Angeles area
Fri Aug 7, 2015, 06:38 PM
Aug 2015

I use Sig Alert all the time...especially when going to and from work.

http://www.sigalert.com/Map.asp?lat=34.128101&lon=-118.289299&z=1#lat=34.12836&lon=-118.28919&z=1

For those unfamiliar with our road (insane road) system...you can check for traffic speeds by color and if there are
various colored triangles (red...accident of some kind) for stoppages.

FYI.

(I've been watching the route that I would take up there...straight up the 110/Harbor from the Port area...shockingly, the traffic has
actually improved going North and now the South bound is starting to get heavy...I didn't know!)
