It's Official -- Bernie Sanders Has Overtaken Hillary Clinton In the Hearts and Minds of Democrats

According to PBS, Bernie Sanders is "gaining against Clinton in early polls." Salon's Bill Curry believes "Hillary Clinton is going lose," primarily because millions of voters longing for a truly progressive candidate will nominate Sanders. POLITICO explained recently that Early-state polls hint at a Bernie Sanders surge, a headline that was unthinkable only several months earlier. Yahoo's Meredith Shiner calls Sanders a "progressive social media star and pragmatic legislator" and states that "Sanders also has a much more substantial legislative history" than any GOP challenger. In Iowa, 1,100 people packed a gym to hear Bernie Sanders speak in May.

In contrast, Team Hillary had an intimate business roundtable discussion with five "ordinary" Iowans. The only problem was that according to The Washington Post, "All five were selected to attend her events." In fact, Clinton's "staged roundtables" were attended by a total of 13 Iowans, picked by either the campaign or the host.

Therefore, a paradigm shift has taken place. Many Iowans drove 50 miles to hear Sanders speak in Des Moines, primarily because Bernie Sanders has surpassed Clinton as the ideal choice for Democratic nominee. Regarding electability, Sanders has also surpassed Clinton as the realistic choice for Democratic nominee in the minds of many voters, because as one Salon piece illustrates, Hillary "just doesn't get it."

We need Elliot to spring open all the prison doors and release all the non-violent drug offenders who can trigger a real revolution in the U.S. Unlike much of the military and all of the teabaggers, they know who the real enemies are.

Bernie is doing great, because of who he is, his integrity and backbone and independence from the wealthy elites. However, he has not overtaken HRC in any polls I've seen. He is doing better and better all the time, but hasn't won the nomination yet.

WHEN will TPTB & so-called news shows begin reporting the FACTS? Since MSNBC has gotten rid of Ed for the 2nd time I simply can't watch them anymore. Could hurt Chris Hayes & Rachel, but apparently they're willing to roll over and do their bidding. Rachel said she was given carte blanche for her show & she has mentioned him a little, but certainly nothing of great substance.

Haven't heard Chris Hayes say much, and Tweety says SQUAT! I only listen to him if I'm cooking and his show is on, but lately I HAVE taken time to switch him off. I like Sharpton, but he NEVER talks about Bernie, at least not when I've listened to him... so it's FSTV for me most of the time.

I had stopped watching MSNBC...started casually watching a few weeks ago (and will now stop watching again...screw CommieComcast).

Rev Al has done some really positive stuff about Bernie...it's just not enough compared to all the other crap that gets covered.

I SURE hope FSTV (Fre Speech TV) can get Big Ed and Rev Al for their lineup.

I just compare the likes of:

Bernie will be in Portland, Oregon for a rally at the Memorial Coliseum...it seats about 12,000.

HRC will also be in Portland...for a $2,700 per plate dinner, with a whack job, Rightie, RICH couple.

Just keep taking the money from the rich Hill.

And we'll just have the people vote Bernie into office.

p.s...I will NEVER get over her being roped off.

I believe that whether Bernie or Hillary is the nominee, the Republicans will try to steal it in Ohio, and perhaps Florida.

THEY OWN THE VOTING MACHINES.

And until we put a system in place that will count votes properly, we're screwed.

Remember when Karl Rove ran amok on TV in 2012 after the networks announced that Obama had won Ohio? He thought the fix was solidly in, the same way it was in 2004.

Until the voting machines, and all the rest of the voter suppression machinery in America is fixed, hearts and minds are meaningless.

Listening to her comments in her initial and official Campaign announcement...it almost seems she speaks so slowly and carefully that there isn't conviction behind what she's saying. She did give a good speech this week pointing out Jeb Bush's weaknesses....but, it came off as too harsh and strident to my ear.

Maybe she will get her balance going forward. So much being "Focused Grouped" for her can't be easy. And, I'm not being snarky just because I'm for Bernie. I just don't feel she has a balance yet...

Much as they did when they tried to portray him as Anti-African American. I realize anything other than politically correctness can be construed as non-support but Huffing ton Post should be ashamed. Bernie said that he did nor want immigrants taking American jobs, and everybody is up in arms as if he had said the Mexicans and others coming across our border to the south were somehow responsible for job losses. What he is actually referring to are the H-1B visas , microsoft and others use to bring in skilled workers from Asia in order to avoid paying the average wage in that profession. If you can get an Indian or a Korean with a doctorate to work at the same wage of an American why would not Apple or Microsoft bring them in under the H-1b visa program. If you do not think that these large corporations are doing this to depress the wages they pay, please buy the bridge I have for you. If you do not see that our meat packing industry and our fast food industry wants these undocumented hard workers and that their numbers do not decrease the wages paid for work performed, you know nothing about these industries. Bernie sanders is not blaming the immigrants and neither am I. Corporations and businesses have used immigrants and undocumented aliens in order to force lower wages and/or prevent union organizing ( United Farm Workers). Bernie is aware that the greedy feed upon the needy, and he knows immigrants are used when possible by greedy businesses and he also does not blame the undocumented immigrants but rather those who feed on them and create animosity between poor native born and porn immigrants. Bernie is well aware that the greedy through their political hacks use this division to manipulate the electorate and maintain their control of our government. Bernie does not blame the victim, but to deny the victim is used to create more victims is avoidance of the issue. Bernie wants the immigrants to have a path to citizenship but he cannot ignore reality and will not let some misguided push for correct speak to stifle the truth we see before our eyes and that is immigrants are used to hold wages down. That is not in any way to say, that their labors do not in total aid our country and its economy by creating more demand. But then, how much more effective demand would they create if they can come out of the shadows and demand wages a native born American would expect.

Republicans can (take Mitt Romney , who for all I knew was a rather Moderate Republican , pro choice, Mormon (back in the day Lutherans called a cult) they don't anymore and a nice guy but he lost because he pretended. ) In iowa I'd never know Hillary was actually running here. Bernie sure always in the talk . It was just like this in 2007 and Jan 2008 smh .. She never learns. Bernie is more I than S as well. and I tend to be Independent because both my left and right views end up being either or and I don't like that. Course if the misled , I can't call them idiots...follow thru on Planned Parenthood which truely would be against the will of the people it could cause a rather large lopsided left wing victory in 2016 Partially why I had some silent hopes they'd win (Republicans rather tea party actually) because then they can't run on anything in 2016. They like to think of this as a game. Some on the right are truly being misled because of the crazy people who make stuff up on tv, radio online etc. Left does it too. But not as much...

Democrats that knew better but supplicated to Bush, the Boy King, and gave him, Cheney, Rummy, etc. carte blanche to kill innocent Iraqis. At that time I pledged to never support those turncoats that were willing to grovel before Republicons.

Those that authorized killing a million innocent Iraqi's that are Christians, will have some 'splaining to do when they meet their maker, if they actually get to go that direction.
