The objective is to keep Bernie on the defensive, so he can't attack, in this case, deliver his core message. That's why there's hardly been a peep of acknowledgement from those here that were clamoring for him to talk more about race. That's why people like Markos are doing pieces like this. Madfloridian's OP is correct--no matter what he does, it will never be good enough. The meme has been set and it must be adhered to. The end justifies the means.

12. I don't read Daily Kos - more into the socialist publications

so I really didn't know anything about Markos. Now we know. He's just "third-way" like the other centrists. Which in my view is a fancy way of saying "I would be a republican but they are crazy". I completely see where they are coming from but it just doesn't match my world view. To me capitalism is killing too many people (not to mention polar bears and the entire environment). Anything to reign it in at this point ... and I think Bernie has the best ideas for doing that (and the experience to know how to get it done after all his years in Congress).
